If you’re a keen photographer wishing to learn a little more about your hobby, or a complete novice, trying to understand all the jargon about digital photography, a camera club is the best place to do it. Please take your time to browse our site and see what we have to offer. “Faversham Camera Club” Formed in 1948, the club has been active in the town for over 60 years, and still has an active and solid membership. It is well known that that the club is one of the friendliest clubs in Kent, and a warm welcome is afforded to any new member, we hope you enjoy browsing our site, and that it will be of interest to you.
We meet every Wednesday evening 7.45pm to 9.45pm, from early September until the end of May at the Catholic Church Hall,Tanners Street, Faversham, Kent, ME13 7JW.
Our programme consists of a mixture of talks by top photographers, covering numerous genres. On certain club nights, we have members hand’s on sessions, building sets, and photographing subjects that fall into the categories of, Macro Photography, Portraiture and Still Life. We are also treated to practical “Demonstrations” by Professional Photographer’s, in which they show us their techniques, thus assisting us in our picture taking and image editing. All this, along with club and inter-club competitions. We welcome new members and, for the coming 17/18 season; a number of workshops aimed at those wishing to gain more experience in photography and image processing / printing, will be added as extra evenings.
